About the Leadership Team

Jay Gluckman – Managing Co-Founder and Lead STEM Instructor

Jay the co-founder of and primary instructor for Innovation for Youth. He has over 20 years experience in teaching science, technology and pre-engineering.  Jay worked for several years as an Education Specialist at Resource Area for Teaching (RAFT) and at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose where he taught physical science curriculum and design challenges in the museum’s behind-the-scenes labs.

Pratima Rao Gluckman -Co-founder of Innovation for Youth

Pratima is an engineering leader in the tech industry and has over 20 years experience in the software development.   She is also the author of “Nevertheless She Persisted: True Stories of Women in Tech” which chronicles the leadership journeys of 19 women who have thrived in senior leadership roles in the tech industry.  Pratima’s work in diversity and inclusion for women was the inspiration for creating our Girls Rock at STEM programs to interest young women in STEAM subjects.
