Girls Rock at S.T.E.M.(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is designed to combine engaging, colorful and fun hands-on activities with celebrating the accomplishments of women and girls who have made contributions to science, technology, engineering and math fields.  Here’s some of the videos that we have produced so far to capture why participants and parents are excited about our activities.

This program is currently facilitated by an Innovation for Youth Mentor Instructor and taught by high school volunteers who participate in our mentorship program.

Scholarships and discounts are offered to enable girls of all backgrounds to experience empowering S.T.E.M curriculum.

One of the free online resources that we are totally excited about is TinkerCAD.  This video feature Anaya giving a short intro to TinkerCAD.  Girls Rock at STEM gives a big thumbs up to the team at AutoDesk for making such a engaging and free platform for young people to learn about computer aided design and computer programming.

Introduction to Rube Goldberg Machines 

One of the great activities to get Girl Scout interested in design and engineering is the activity known as Rube Goldberg Machines.  The goal is to create a overly complex machine to do a simple task. This video features the Rube Goldberg Machine that Ananya Pandit and her friend made to demonstrate what a Rube Goldberg Machine is.  The project can be done so it satisfies the requirements for the Brownie Inventor Badge.
